Vilac

The story of Vilac begins in 1911, in the small village of Moirans-en-Montagne, the french toy capital. Founded by Narcisse Villet, who would later pass on the business to her sons, Vilac prolong traditions and know-how, by making beautiful turned and lacquered wooden toys. In 2007, it obtains the labels « Living Heritage Company » and « Know-how of the Haut-Jura Regional Natural Park ». Vilac’s toys are designed in France, in a Jura research department, by specialized designers. The wood used (beech, pine and boxwood) comes from eco-managed forests, while lacquers and paints are tested by approved laboratories, which guarantee the safe passage of the toys from hand to mouth. Their toys are also free from any allergenic substance, phtalates and lead. They comply with the essential requirements of the European directive n° 2009/48/CE concerning the safety of toys in all stages of their manufacture and therefore comply with the EN 71/1-2-3 toy standards.
